Maybe it’s an ingredient that you’re intolerant/allergic to? Your nose is connected to your pharynx after all, so maybe an ingredient that’s prevalent in bakeries or pastries triggers a reaction with you? Do you experience any other symptoms?
!soulslike@lemmy.zip is doing pretty fine all things considered. Most memes do fine and invite some discussion, some posts don’t do as well. The community doesn’t post that much by themselves, so around 98% of posts are from me. I don’t mind too much as long as I get to talk to people about stuff, but I’d love it if the community were a little more active. Around 1000 monthly users is pretty good, I think
We didn’t do anything special. Just another day as always. But I was surprised with a cool plushie, skin care products, and flowers. Can’t complain, all in all. Hbu my friend

Thanks for your input. Maybe things have changed for the better? I doubt a github page with a detailed wiki and guide on how to setup the device for Linux would exist if the performance were as bad as you describe it. Then again, maybe there is a big difference between Go 1 and 2. I’ll give it a go and see if it works
According to the github page I’ve linked to, I shouldn’t need to install linux-kernel. Which Surface were you trying to install Linux onto? Thanks for the help :)
Let’s split the bill. I’ll chime in 5
Yea sure, keep bragging about your height
I’ve got bad news, buddy
How realistic is it that this gains traction and makes big waves in their ranks?
It’s always a tug of war between summer and winter. I love that it’s only getting dark around 10pm in the summer but hate the heat; I like that it’s a little colder in the winter but the sun going down around 4pm is just depressing as hell. Especially if you’ve been at work from like 9am til 6pm: it’s dark when you get there and it’s dark when you leave.
My condolences, how sad…

First off, it’s ok to be in this mental state - it’s nothing to be ashamed of or angry at, as uncomfortable as it is. Because ultimately, thinking about each and everyone’s “purpose” is is not a bad thing per se. It’s what helped me branch out and starting an apprenticeship in something I wasn’t sure I’d be fit for after stumbling around in university and not knowing what to do with my life.
That said, I think life is about creating heaven on earth as far and much as possible. All your good deeds don’t go unnoticed and don’t go away if you die. It’s about making something meaningful and special, be it to you or to others.
Who cares if there even is an afterlife. You can just exist in the here and now and make the best of it. Granted, a lot of things are going south right now, but it’s the thought that counts.
Re-unite with family with whom you’ve not been in touch for a while, meet new friends, experience new things, be a good friend. All of these things generate value either for you or for others and these are the things that count in the long term.
But also don’t feel bad if you don’t live up to your expectations every single day. It’s ok to take time off, to focus on yourself and not sacrifice your well-being for others all the time.
Not sure if any of this helps, but it’s what’s helping/helped me and these were my thoughts in regards to this subject. Lots of love - get better soon 💜

People are scared of new things and grow complacent once they find their place in a community or on an app, in this case. It’s the same reason people will argue to death about needing Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, whatever, and not leave any of them
The protest in our city was a little depressing. We were quite a few people, more than originally anticipated even, but there was barely any chanting or singing, and the whole thing was over in like 2ish hours I think? The protest signs people were carrying around were pretty good, though.
