That’s right! Freedom. Where you can share your voice. For you are an individual, born with a voice, and even though that’s not your choice, you still have the power and right to share your thoughts – Unlike the Tankie Ideologies of Authoritarianism

So that’s what this thread is for… Tankies welcome, within reason, of course. The strict rules of MoG still apply, but so long as you fair, respectful and truthful, you shouldn’t have to worry about these.

Just as a refresher of these rules:

Sh.itjust.works Instance rules apply! If you are from other instances, please be mindful of the rules.

Hate-Speech – You should be familiar with this one already; practically all instances have rules on hate speech.

Apologia – (Using the Modern terminology for Apologia) No Defending, Denying, Justifying, Bolstering, or Differentiating fascist acts or endeavours, whether be a Pro-CCP viewpoint, Stalinism or any variation of Tankie Ideology. There is no justifying Genocide.

Revisionism – Downplaying or denying atrocities past and present will result in an immediate ban.

You will get a public warning before a ban.

So, please! Talk about your woes on our world and its diverse societies.

    I’ll start:

I’m not the biggest fan of Capitalism. My preferred form of Capitalism is present in all first-world nations, guaranteeing rights for Workers and Individuals, Healthcare and Services for the Public, and Freedoms for Individuals and Private Enterprises. Is it perfect? No, certainly not. It has its flaws depending on Class and Government.

But I’d still much prefer it over Communism.

I think maybe we should relax the rule for CCP, Russian, Stalinism, etc. apologia for this thread? I don’t really see the purpose of this thread if those viewpoints aren’t allowed here.

Just a little question. Is it true that the lemmy.world instance is similar to lemmygrad in the manner that is run by tankies that like censoring people? I heard rumors before the reddit migration and they sayed that of the main instances i shouldnt join neither .lm nor .world since they where run by tankies. They also told me to stay away from behaw but i heard they are not tankies just very echochambery.

Lemmy.ml is by the same tankies on lemmygrad, they used to return the same IP when you pinged them.

I don’t think world is run by tankies.

Beehaw is very safe and handsy with your user freedoms. The admins there are also dicks.

When I first joined ml, I made the mistake of pointing out that China was, regardless of their self-labeling, a communist country.

Whew. I had tons of people losing their minds on me, claiming I was a troll and that I was full of shit. I shared something similar to this, and they basically screamed “fake news” and downvoted.

    Those guys are special.

Don’t worry friend, just another couple of years and China will become a true Communist state, just have to culturally genocide Tibet, Xingjian, and anywhere else that isn’t Han Chinese. Keep up the good fight!

China doesn’t seem communist though, at least not in the classic sense. It’s more so state run capitalism with strong controls on corporations. The population there doesn’t live in a classless society either, seeing as they have a GINI coefficient similar to the US hovering around .4 (0-1 where 0 is equal and 1 is infinitely unequal)
