Hm, seems to be logical. The sound of the whip is more or less a direct translation of the movement it makes in the air.
It is the same for string instruments. The movement of the string looks the same as its waveform.
Analog audio is analogous.
Yeah, that makes sense. I guess the difference is that you don’t typically see the shape of a string as it vibrates, as opposed to seeing a whip move.
