I have a pendent that is made of the ashes of my best friend. I carry him around all the times. He unfortunately left me unexpectedly a few years ago.
Today, I can’t bear to take him with me to work. I have been feeling so ashamed at work. I hope he understands.

I think I understand; you don’t want your friend to see you at your worst. I hope that since you posted this you’ve gotten better self esteem at your job. 🫶
I would say that unless you are working around machinery, it is nobody’s business.
I don’t understand the work shame and how work and the friend are related.
