I was copying lines into a red composition book from something I had already typed into a computer, I would get about 3 lines down before noticing that I had skipped a couple lines down from where I was copying and had to erase it absolutely perfectly, not sure how I knew but the goal was to replicate the text perfectly so it would appear to have been written that way on the first go.
A memory of something special and cherished is fading away because you didn’t relive and remember it enough when it was fresh. You took the moment for granted, and its almost gone. Its too late to reinforce and preserve the memory, because its so faded, you’ll just invent a cheap, innacurate copy that loses something important.
