Sort of, the difference is that if they came from China Trump isn’t supporting China, and there would be no “conflict” of interest for Trump. But coming from Russia, and Trump continuing to support Russia, means that Trump is supporting a country that help kill Americans. Which makes it nonsensical for Trump to support Russia.
