I am not outraged, but I am aware of prices because I budget. Also, sometimes you just need the nearest Tylenol or caffeine or snack to stay sane. We are all kinda in this meat grinder together so it’s perfectly understandable to me. Anyway, these days I still budget, but sometimes I’ll buy myself a fun drink or whatever on a Friday. But then on Saturday it’s right back to “discounts only”. I think that’s become a source of dopamine.

We have a bucket of candy in my office at all times. I think I’m immune to its charms now. Once in a while a grab a tiny 3 musketeers, but the rest I have no feelings for, even when I have nothing to eat for 10 hours.

Well, it would disenfranchise a whole lot of people due to difficult to obtain (expensive, time consuming) on short notice. If it passed today many would not be able to vote in an upcoming election. It would specifically impact a large block of voters who tend to lean left. Oh, and we already use perfectly fine government issued IDs. This is just an extra hoop for poor people and women. In other words, not needed, voter suppression, targeted, and a poll tax.

Anything regarding a person of YouTube fame. I just pretend they don’t exist.

This is the right answer. They’ve already identified the problem and dislike the feeling, which is well on the road to flipping the switch. This is one of the reasons human services fields are difficult, you literally have to turn off parts of yourself that would normally feel and react to become a good professional.
Very boomer/wife bad/facebook meme. Surprised to see it here.
I don’t trust any of these.
