You are welcome. But I have never heard about “inbound PGP encryption”. Does that mean they would encrypt inbound emails with your key? Email is inherently unsecure communication (unless encrypted before sending), so I wonder how much security/privacy does that actually provide.

I have been using Runbox for several years and I’m happy with them. I choose them because they are one of the few email providers that allow you to create aliases/identities.
They are not non-profit, but they say they take ethical (and other) responsibilities very seriously. They do use LLM, but again they say they use it only as a tool and it is used responsibly. They do take transparency seriously, so they have all this information written on their website.
O.o They allowed meetings without registration again? That’s nice!
Last time I checked (long time ago), they reguired an account for a meeting, however their platform didn’t support registrations… which made no sense.

11·8 days agoFrom what I could gather:
RCS is not supported by the Android system - probably because Gurgle doesn’t want to (not sure about iOS). Also quite few carriers still do not support it. So if you manage to send a message, you have no guarantee that it would arrive in the same format you would expect.
The only advantage it has is that you don’t have to create an account anywhere and you can simply use a phone number to send it. However, that is also it’s biggest downside, because you would have to give your phone number to other people or services, which is not a good idea in this age.
It may have been a good idea around 2007, but it’s too late now.

122·9 days agoSomeone please enlighten me. I cannot figure out why does RCS even exist? It does not solve any problems… unless the problem was that Gurgle didn’t have everyone’s phone number yet.
Seriously, If I understand it correctly, RCS requires data (either mobile or wifi), so it cannot be used instead of SMS. But if you already have data, then you can use the communication app you use normally (Matrix, Signal, WhataCrapApp, …). There is no point in using RCS at all.
EDIT: I should have posted this as a reply to one of the comments here… too late.

2·10 days agoIt’s a great app. I just wish they would improve the list layout by adding edit and delete buttons. And especially making the edit window bigger and resizable. Right now it is so small that I don’t even see the game’s folder’s full name in the path input field, not to mention full absolute path.

http://example.com/vshttp://xn--exmple-4nf.com/, but a lot of people probably do not do that.I would definitely not click on the second one.

It only takes a couple of times to realize how quickly something you care about can be taken away and you’ll never see/hear it again. It still bothers me that I didn’t download my favourite videos before they got lost forever when they burned the library of Pornhub.
