But another important factor is not having your phone charged at 100% for long durations, because at high voltage the battery degrades faster. So don’t leave your phone plugged in when it’s fully charged, try to keep it between 30 and 80% all the time for maximum lifetime

Yea the article does seem to make it a bigger thing than it actually is. But, the fact that the management or at least the CEO (that also has a major saying in everyday business and is highly respected/feared) openly shows a disrespect for safety measures and laughs them off as annoying, definitely paints a picture. Sure, accidents happen and maybe the numbers aren’t excessively high, but if management doesn’t take them seriously and learn from them and take measures to reduce the risk, then this becomes really concerning

But the fact that he not only ignores safety practices but actively removes those that are already in place just because they don’t please him aesthetically and he doesn’t want to see them is a whole other level of egoism and carelessness. The water creates a better way to transfer heat from the container to the freezer because it has direct contact with the container and replaces the air around it. Yes the water needs to be cooled too, but still the process is way faster because air really is a good insulator for heat. This is why insulating materials for houses e.g. always try to maximize air content (foam, glass wool, styrofoam)

Verstehe nicht, was daran so unfassbar schlimm sein soll. Strebt nicht jeder Mensch danach, das beste für sich zu wollen und sein Leben so gut wie möglich nach eigenen Vorstellungen zu gestalten? Natürlich geht das nicht immer, aber was stellt er sich denn vor als das Ideal: sich selbst freiwillig ohne große Not zum Wohle eines höheren Zwecks für die Gemeinschaft (oder sein Unternehmen? Den Staat?) zu verknechten oder wie? Da geht er ja wunderbar mit bestem Beispiel voran. Die Realität zeigt den jungen Leuten ja täglich, dass die Unternehmen alle nur auf Profit aus sind und einem nichts schenken, mit ehrlicher Arbeit und Fleiß sind auch trotz guter Ausbildung oder Studium die Zukunftsaussichten schlecht, Eigenheim ist kaum drin, Rente ist murks, warum soll man sich damit zufrieden geben?
