I was gifted a new laptop with windows 11. It’s a great laptop but windows is dragging on me. I already went full time Linux on my desktop so I may have to at least dual boot on my laptop. Anyone with experience dual booting from an external drive?

Middle left. Don’t know the numbering scheme, 3?
I usually eat lunch in about 10-15 minutes during a meeting so I don’t have a choice to slow down and get sleepy. That kicks in later on the drive home.
Protonmail and SimpleLogin has been a great combo.
Great info! You should post this in the LaTeX community (latex@lemmy.ca seems to be one of the more popular ones).
Drink wise, Dom Pérignon. It was not worth $300 or $400 I paid for a bottle. It was good, just not that good.
Food wise, probably a $90 steak at Chicago Cut. Worth every penny.
Memmy and Bean set the bar for iOS Lemmy apps, at least to me. Excited to see how Avelon stacks up.
For me I think it’s the niche communities aren’t built up yet. If I’m looking for a conversation about a specific football team or game, etc there isn’t as much content here that I can find on Reddit.
But can you use it? I’ve worked places with things like that, gaming rooms for breaks, etc. and it was mostly just for sore and never used.
On iOS Memmy is a really good app given how new it is. Just found out about Bean which is really impressive for just entering TestFlight.
Code needs to start in parallel with the kick off meetings and run the full length of the program. Otherwise looks accurate!
I quit Reddit cold turkey. I miss sports talk and some of the gaming and workout subreddits though.
Good point! I’m hoping for some of the more niche communities to start becoming more active. Things are trending in the right direction though.
The jump in posts over the last month is incredible. I find Lemmy quickly replacing Reddit which is great.
Memmy and Mlem are pretty good. Both in TestFlight, but I believe both are submitted to the App Store and under review.
Welcome to the fediverse!
This creeps me out for some reason.
This is still the way! Gives me an excuse to change my distro.
Just switched to Fedora after bouncing between Ubuntu and Manjaro. Really digging Fedora and kicking myself for waiting so long to try it out.
