  • Reddit is trying to make sure their results don’t end up being Google Zeroed to the AI Overview of Google. They have a partnership with Google so if they’re not getting organic traffic on their site, they’re losing money and I’m on team reddit can fuck themselves. By doing the log in only they’re trying to curb the ai results on google just showing the answers right away without any traffic to reddit.

So we’re turning towards a culture of you will have to degrade yourself 20x harder/be a full time influencer or hire a full time influencer/media clown, to get traffic.

-How Google Zero Impacts Website Visibility

The rise of Google Zero has changed the way people visit websites online. More zero-click searches and Google’s answers mean that many people do not even go to other sites. This leads to a clear drop in the number of people who click on organic search results. The owners of websites need to deal with problems like flaws or weak spots in code execution. These issues make it even harder for them to get their sites seen.

To keep up with these changes, you must learn what Google now looks for. Use what you learn to fight against lost traffic. This is how you stay important and keep people coming to your site. Being aware of flaws and issues in code execution will help your site work better and help your site show up when people search on Google.

    -Decline in Organic Traffic

Organic traffic is now falling for many, especially in the United States. This drop is mostly because more people get what they need from Google’s zero-click searches. In the past, a blog or a business could get a lot of visits from Google, but that has changed. Now, fewer people are coming to their websites. The rise of AI and new ways to search have made this problem even bigger.

Advertisers also face problems. Fewer people leave the search results and visit their websites. For example, an air-purifier review blog lost a lot of its views. That happened because bigger companies take up the top spots and get picked for those search snippets.

To handle this, businesses can try to find new ways to get traffic. They could share their message in niche communities, start a podcast, or focus on getting leads from referrals. This helps them not have to count only on Google’s organic traffic, and it can keep their numbers up even as things change with AI, search, and new tech.

  • I wish I liked kiwis because kiwis have a naturally occurring compound that coats your intestines or something like that.

There was a kiwi extract pill that only comes from new Zealand and they don’t ship it to US right now and I tried them this year and had them during the summer and I was shitting like a champion.

Was gonna buy more but they don’t fucking ship them to the US right now and I’m still pissed off.

  • It takes a fuck load of fruit to get to the max amount of recommended daily fiber. I tried fruit for years and eventually realized it’s a… Fruitless effort. 🫣

I’ve opted for a clear liquid fiber because the metamucil gummies started ruining my teeth and the metamucil liquid has the grits and every flavor of it makes me gag.

I wish my insurance would cover something more like HyFiber. I like the HyFiber stuff more than the Metamucil stuff. I don’t care that it’s a solution and not a natural occurring fiber, it helps me shit!!!

  • Most stabilized countries have laws in place for food and protections for donations.

I’m guessing there’s rules behind this one but in the US:

The Food Donation Improvement Act: This act expands those protections. It allows qualified businesses (like restaurants, supermarkets, and schools) to donate food directly to individuals in need rather than having to route it through a registered 501©(3) nonprofit intermediary. It also allows nonprofits to charge a nominal “Good Samaritan” fee just to cover the logistics and handling costs of distributing the food.

I don’t know the specifics of that one though.

  • people with “I am gonna make money with no expenses, watch meh”

    as an example:

“Consumables,” are the perishable supplies. So that alone will put a damper on that mind-set.

If you make a product that requires you needing to handle said product with nitrile gloves, you’re going to need to allocate some of your potential earnings back into the company and buy more nirile gloves until that specific consumable eventually pays for itself OR you charge a little extra to keep the consumables in stock.

It’s a business that they’re running, so if they’re not able to use those fees to actually do what they say they’re going to, then they need to accept the fact that people are no longer willing to pay for the services.

Like the person wearing the nitrile gloves isn’t making the nitrile gloves but they’re required to make the product.

So if you’re paying a cleaning fee and they’re making you clean, they’re not using the money where it’s supposed to be going OR they’re not hiring a cleaning crew that can do what they need.

I’ve also seen some videos where some of the air b’n’b owners going, “if i need to do this by this time,” well maybe they shouldn’t be allowing guests so soon and booking on top of each other. As much as it is a business, if they’re not running the business properly and only looking at the end profit gain… then they shouldn’t be doing what they’re doing and look into doing something else.

  • “Shifted it to the consumer”

    • The “Guest Consent” Clause: For example, Section 6(d) of LG’s updated terms of service states that it is the owner’s sole responsibility to obtain consent from household members and guests whose voices might be captured by the TV’s artificial intelligence and voice recognition features.

    • The Legal Trap: By agreeing to these terms, you contractually accept the responsibility to warn anyone sitting in your living room that the TV is listening. If a guest sues over an illegal recording under state wiretap laws, the manufacturer will use the EULA to argue that you breached the contract by failing to get that guest’s consent. That’s assuming someone actually reads the EULA

    Especially in

    • California • Delaware • Florida • Illinois • Maryland • Massachusetts • Montana • Nevada • New Hampshire • Pennsylvania • Washington

because they have all-party consent laws : In these states, recording an oral conversation requires the consent of everyone involved. Because a house guest has a reasonable expectation of privacy in a private home, a smart TV capturing their background audio without their explicit knowledge constitutes a violation of state wiretapping laws, regardless of what the TV’s EULA say

So, you have to have everyone in your household agree to the EULA not just yourself if you use a smart tv in those 11 states to not violate wiretapping laws.
