1 year agoI will buy a Ubiquiti edge router to move away from the consumer grade network gear, turned into just one more $500 server to complete my homelab cluster. Oh who am I kidding the homelab is never “complete”.

Do we get any benefit from hosting our own Lemmy server? I am a tech nerd and love new IT projects. Sorry if this is off topic, please redirect me someplace else if there is a better thread to ask my question in.
We are one step closer to hypo sprays from Star Trek. I don’t like needles so this will be really neat to see in mass adoption.
