A friend recently started a group for feeding the homeless in our city. When we can, my wife and I buy some food and water and spend an afternoon handing it out. It isnt much and our taxes should be going to help these unfortunate folks but it helps and shows them there is still some humanity out there. It is a reminder to be thankful.

I got a second hand 2011 model for free. I leave it in airplane mode and copy the books over via USB after converting them with calibre. I would not buy an amazon e-reader in the future. Simply because they are a shitty company.

That being said I still dress well, opting for non branded stuff as I dont want to be a walking advertisement and I would rather spend the money on experiences.

I chose to buy stuff that goes with a lot of things so I can maximize value. Neutral colors that can be combined in a variety or ways. I also look for stuff I could wear for both work and day to day settings.
