Reflexively associating people & things you dislike with an ethnicity is a form of hate, and you are doing it. After all, America has plenty of – hell, I’d argue more – easily bought trolls available, and yet I don’t seem to see a whole lot of people bringing up their nationality so much, assuming they mention them at all.

Assuming nothing explodes, yes. The devs have confirmed they’re working on porting TF2C to use the newly-released codebase and plan to release on Steam now that they’re legally allowed to do so.

Might not be “soon” though. I suspect porting will take a lot of work.

If you’re suggesting we change the system from within, I’ve got bad news: We’ve been trying that. It hasn’t been working. The purpose of the system is what it does, and what this system does is rob us of representation.

This absolutely happens. Team Fortress 2 Classic dropped Linux support outright a few years ago in favor of Proton support since it’s easier on the devs to do, and even as an avid Linux user I don’t blame them.

This was true, but a big part of that reason (as followed up on by some other devs) is that Linux users are usually tech-savvy, and frequently work on software. They contribute more bug reports because they know how to report a bug. You’ll have more bug reports, but not necessarily because there’s more bugs (though that too), and as a bonus the users reporting them will probably be able to help you fix those bugs a lot better than the average Windows user.

Not been my experience at all. Or am I misunderstanding and you’re saying that’s a past problem? Because I’ve used both AMD and Nvidia drivers on Mint and they’ve both been fantastic.

So instead, I’ll ask this: How many evil, horrible things do the Democrats have to do before you decide that voting for them alone isn’t working?

I suspect the answer is that there is no such point so long as the Republicans are worse. In that, they hold you and those like you hostage, and can operate with impunity; there’s no reason to change or improve when they know you’ll vote for them regardless. They are not making “intelligent decisions that keep the world from being as bad as it possibly could be,” they are enabling the backslide of society into hell because they benefit from it.

If the Democrat establishment wanted to make the world better, Trump would be in prison right now, and barred from holding office. They don’t, and he isn’t.

You saying your opinion is objective reality does not make it so. I agree that LLMs have their (few, niche) uses, but you’re just being arrogant here.

If there’s one thing LLMs are very good at, it’s talking about things their creators don’t want them to with barely any effort from the end user.

I really don’t feel like even that is as different as we think it is. Not because I don’t think China is breathing down the necks of its citizenry – I absolutely do – but because I think America* is doing it just as much. We just don’t realize it because of the immense lengths local media goes through to make it look like it’s not happening. Exonerative tense, copaganda, et cetera. Shit, it hasn’t been much more than a decade since the Snowden leaks happened, and yet as far as I know we have no good reason to believe any of that has stopped at all.

It’s easy not to think so if you’ve not personally experienced it. But it’s important to remember that if you’re not privileged, there are a lot of reasons to feel very oppressed in this country.
