Not just Linux, but you obviously have to use the correct distro of it, which obviously is…

    correct

Are you shitting me right now, why would you click that!? Allow me to explain in this 50 part manifesto why I am so very smart and everyone else is beneath me…

That said, X is legit an Alt-Right Nazi bar. Even as we here are an Alt-Left one. I suppose it simply comes with the territory.:-|

  • In addition to what the other comments mentioned, PieFed has a number of features that Lemmy lacks - like Categories of Communities, hashtags, the initial wizard to sign you up to communities that you are interested in, showing the community side-bar text alongside every post in it, unique messages offered irt particular instances or news sources, etc.

It will take some time to get an existing app to catch up to all of those, when Lemmy lacks those features entirely.

  • Hrm, that is odd, particularly bc it says that there is 1 local subscriber. I am used to communities (or magazines) not federating due to having no subscriptions - that much I understand, but something else seems to be preventing the second community from federating properly with Discuss.Online. And likewise with PieFed.social as well.

I wonder if some aspect of the magazine are problematic for Lemmy and PieFed to handle, perhaps the post flairs?

Although mostly what I meant about federation was between Beehaw that had chosen to defederate from Lemmy.world, where this community we are in now is located. But… that defederation is not implemented in reverse, so I guess it’s fine.

And now we’ve brought in Mbin and PieFed to the mix as well. Most communication among softwares is working just fine, it’s just the human element where it tends to break down:-).
