Ideally the solution would be finding alternatives for creators to make money, sponsorships is one, they can make money on those no matter the platform and where they get viewers, same with support platforms like patreon and kofi.

The goal would be to watch videos there so creators have a reason to cross post and then support them in other ways, if possible, mentioning peertube as the avenue you watched them.

Cross posting to a peertube instance should be pretty light weight for creators and we should encourage it.

Honestly. A FOSS dating site might be enough, it doesn’t need to be federated, I suspect most people would get what they are looking for from FOSS. Also, safety is a big deal on dating sites, I guess defed helps you to not show people who don’t moderate well, but I wonder if a well moderated FOSS dating app is the ideal.

Don’t ever call what landlords do a service. They do it for profit. It’s not a service.

For me, I hate the influencer culture around many of these things. On paper, loops, and the like, are good ideas, but when you fill it with people with MBAs trying to sell you things, it feels fake and goes to shit. My experience so far with the fediverse is that it feels generally organic and I have no reason to believe loops would be any different.
