Is there a handy list somewhere to defed from? I don’t expect them to gain any traction unless they had an existing user base before, but would be nice to keep communal running tab.

Yeah, which is the real way to go. Sub-recipies end up screwing up my flows at times, ‘self-rising’ flour is another thing that I don’t keep around premade and have to stop and make separate.

Never heard of the place around here, but I like the thought. Buying things for odd amounts like to top up a spice jar without having a separate large container.

On the flip side you get goofy things like this where you are supposed to use a specific amount of something that so far as I know you would have to buy as a pre-made mix. Either that or start a separate recipe to make you own cake mix.

It’s the one part of Murica measurements that makes decent sense. Science aside I just want to know what to wear that day in a human scale.

Similar to heavy weights in the gym, having a few hundred on your shoulders tends to keep other things out of mind.

One for me is the forms taught in martial arts. Think on the lines of a minute or so long sequence of moves that would never be used in a match/combat but they tend to flow together. A nice way to exclude the world for a minute of predictable peace.

Many places refer to secure email when they mean a portal that function is more like a private chat app. A lot of them are even sold as ‘secure mail’ but don’t use anything resembling SMTP.

Instead you log into a page, and send a message to the specified recipient who might have an email style address on it, or maybe on the backend it uses their email system for authentication even.
