The biggest ones are about the size of teff grains or fine couscous, which is more like sand than a fine powder
No, not right now. There was a comment from the German foreign minister saying that Europe should apply the same amount of funding as it did against covid, and that was about €670 billion ($700 billion). However the discussion is ongoing and Britain and France have both just said they’re willing to put troops on the ground to protect a ceasefire, so hope is not lost
which is barely a drip feed compared to Bidens firehouse
Europe has given Ukraine more than America. Source
Biden’s last package closed the gap a fair bit, but Europe is still the bigger source of support and definitely the more consistent one
The “rental” part of the deal is that we leased the missiles from America and pay an American company to maintain them. Once they’re fitted with a warhead (done in Britain) and loaded aboard the sub, though, they can be fired with literally no outside participation. Being a submarine-based deterrent as it is, they kinda have to be able to operate independently from anything on the land, British government included.
I don’t know about a military context or if this would be acceptable to fly in this context, but flags like this are usually seen here being flown by supporters of football teams that play in black and white strips, like Newcastle United.
Artist Jonathan Parsons also made one like it back in 1993 that was about the disappearance of black and white TV and film. This photo is definitely not about that, of course, but I found it interesting
Ahh my mistake, you’re right
Ehhh there’s not no interaction though, as .ml has them all federated and quite a lot of posts are there
I was misremembering, see below
Underlining the difficulty Europe could have in summoning a united response, some member states, including Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Romania, said they were unhappy that the Paris meeting was not a full EU summit.
They are represented in a sense by organisations like NATO and the EU, but that’s also true for France and Poland and they still got invited as individual countries
Excluding the Czechs seems especially weird given how enthusiastic and effective they’ve been in their support for Ukraine
Greece specifically has one of the largest tank forces in Europe. Mostly because Turkiye also has one of the biggest tank forces in Europe.
Why do you equate “not in an EU Battlegroup” to “not able to go to war immediately”? Every EU member retains independent control of their militaries. They do not need to use the EU Battlegroup command structure. In fact they never have, and yet they have still regularly deployed troops.
The EU Battlegroups are not the combined militaries of the member states. They are a specific group that works directly under the EU. The vast majority of the militaries of the EU member states are not in EU Battlegroups.
Did you not actually link of of your sources because you were concerned someone might actually read them?
Ukraine preparing for a Russian invasion is not a ceasefire violation. The leader of a country that’s not even a party to the conflict saying that “it’s good that Ukraine prepared” is even more thoroughly not a violation. You know what is a violation? An invasion.
I assume it must have played a role. The Chinese border with Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar has some pretty damn big mountains too, which is one of the other classic “invading through this sucks” features
No individual European country is, but you and I both said “Europe”, not “a European country”. I’m saying that of the support Ukraine has received, most of it is from Europe. In terms of different categories of military equipment, though? Yeah, the US has often been outspent. In terms of value sent by individual countries, Poland has sent the most tanks and Germany has sent the most howitzers and anti-air systems. Sweden has nearly matched the US for IFVs. Even if you completely ignore the costs of supporting the Ukrainian government financially, giving homes to all of the Ukrainian refugees, and paying for humanitarian work in Ukraine — all of which are absolutely necessary for the war effort — the only way you can think that Europe isn’t doing anything is if you’ve just never looked.

Europe is spending more than America to help Ukraine.
Vietnam has historically been pretty brutal for invaders too. Between the end of the third Chinese domination and the start of the French colonial period, they went almost a thousand years rarely ever losing a war. They even fended the Mongols off
Yeah good call. I kinda forget he exists and then once every six months he pops up to deliver three hours of perfect storytelling
There might not be a cure. I know that I don’t expect mine to ever really go away. But even when it’s still present, the degree to which you have it under control is a broad spectrum.
And yes, it is much more difficult for those of us with serious depression to maintain a healthy level of self-esteem, but it is not impossible by any means
Experience with dating is not how you avoid it. Self-esteem and being comfortable without a relationship are. That’s why the advice is to get those things sorted first.
