  • Of course it’s not the fault of the generation. It’s the school system who still doesn’t teach proper basic IT skills. Schools should have never touched Chromebooks or even MS products. A Windows like Linux distro and Libreoffice would teach kids the basic IT skills that are transferable across different OSs. Would have been cheaper as well. Bet if you follow the money that somebody in the school system with executive decision on IT matters gets massive kickbacks from Google or MS

  • Pumping it back into wells as oil is maybe a good idea. If civilization completely collapses back to the Stone Age humanity might never rebuild and advance into an industrial era if there are no more easily accessible fossil fuels. The rapid advancements of humanity of the last two centuries is because of fossil fuels. Of course there is a chance future humans after the apocalypse can advance without fossil fuels. But we don’t know for sure. To give them a fighting chance we have to replenish whatever we took out of the ground. Otherwise they might never advance past a medieval era.

Another idea is to bury tree logs into old mines where it can’t rot so it will fossilize into coal over centuries.

  • As long as you have a healthy bodyweight, enough muscle mass and eat enough nutrients it’s fine.

People eat way too much and too often anyway. Many people are pre-diabetic without them knowing it. And it’s because they give their body constantly glucose spikes. 3 meals full of carbs and several sugary snacks throughout the day will slowly damage your body since your body doesn’t likely having so much glucose in the bloodstream.

  • Commercial digital cinema projectors aren’t even 8K. And movies look sharper then ever. Only 70mm IMAX looks better and that’s equivalent of 8K to 12K but IMAX screens (the real ones not digital LieMAX) are gigantic.

Also screen technology has advanced faster than the rest of the pipeline. Making a movie in a full 8K pipeline would be way too expensive. It’s only since recent years that studios upgraded to a complete 4K pipeline from camera to final rendered out image including every step in between. And that’s mostly because Netflix forced studios to do so.

True native non upscaled 8K content won’t be here for a long while.
