  • So uh, now it works. My screen went black and came back but I could only select 30hz. So I decided to reinstall everything nvidia, nvidia-dkms, nvidia-utils, lib32-nvidia-utils and opencl-nvidia.

After this magically Sims 1 and 2 work! I have tried to get old games to work since October, and I am sure I did this already before, but somehow it now works.

    Thanks for everyones help!

  • Ah, alright, I am using a 3090, that I was foolish enough to buy during the gpu shortage, it’s probably not the best supported gpu as it is so expensive and not that common. I am using nvidia-dkms (thought it would have the best compatibility), maybe I should try nouveau just to see if that makes a difference.

    Thanks

  • One reason why that is probably not true is because there are less positrons but if it were true they should number the same as electrons, right?

But if electrons are moving along the same “time direction” as we are and positrons are moving in the opposite “direction” then wouldn’t we expect there to be less protons? As we can’t measure the protons that already “passed” us? And we would measure more electrons as a some/many/all of the existing electrons are traveling alongside us?

  • So you could just use Email in these archaic programs called Thunderbird etc. If you really wanted to use gmail. You know, without adds, without the need for an ad blocker, without AI recommendations and at your leisure.

But hey, you’d have to install something on your computer for that… how horrible.

And who uses computers for work anyway, you can just write your essay on a tablet. (but there are also email apps on those)

It’s a shittier way to work but hey it’s easier.
