Yeah. Lemmy was ok for a few months after the api exodus but seems to have shrunk down to some really, um, I guess immature people? Maybe fringy angry self righteous people? I’ve been coming back less and less often and it seems to be getting worse, but there is the occasional gem and I’m never going back to the bad place.
That’s a good point.
Not really. If you are filling out $10 1099s you’re probably taking a standard deduction so it never matters.
I haven always been buying “good eggs” but pasture raised are actually cheaper than battery at my local grocery the last few times I’ve gone. Kinda crazy.
The us has killed more than 15 million chickens just the last few weeks. Sometimes with foam. If other countries have to do that their prices will rise too. NHK had a great documentary recently about an egg family that was doing pasture raised eggs at $1 each.

I don’t think I’ve every seen them do a song lyrics by decade category, and like the other guy said, check Vana’s head. maybe its foreign but I’d say 95% likely its fake.
fuck man. you made me hard.
I looked up birchwood. I don’t think they have them around here but we have bubba burgers which are also pretty good in their own way. far from smash burgers as they are cooked frozen and already formed though.
do you do them outside to get the high heat and smoke taken care of? griddle? cast iron pan? I’m just saying the best burgers I’ve ever had were an inch thick and raw in the middle and that’s hard to forget. damn I want a burger now. I’d happily try yours. depending on how old you are you may have never had a “danger” burger. they kinda went away in the late 90s with mad cow.
I just don’t understand smash burgers. I want my burgers moist and dripping down my mouth.souvide and sear, or sear a chuck steak and grind it if your super worried about food safety. I haven’t done either but they should be good. safe a juicy. full disclosure, I’m writing this from the shitter and there have been many more times today so food poisoning might be an issue for me or its ibs. dunno. I’m probably not going to pass a strict food safety thing.
my goal isn’t about ignoring the super rich. it was more about spending one day, Xmas day, thinking more about the poor.
I understand that. the Bible makes no such exceptions and probably couldn’t imagine what we have now. we should help who we can. we live better than any king in the Bible. I know about the disparity that exists now. my only point is that everyone here on lemmy is likely above the world median but acts like they are paupers because they compare themselves to celebrities. I hear Oxfam does good work if you don’t want to work locally. I’m down with eat the rich, just please don’t mistake yourself for poor if you’re not. if there wasn’t an ocean between the usa and Africa we would probably look at wealth differently. but all that said, of course the wealth graph shouldn’t look exponentially increasing, but for a biblical discussion I think you can ignore the top 5% as a historical anomaly ignoring the usury.
Yeah. But how do we get off earth?
