echo@lemmy.todaytoLemmy Support@lemmy.ml•Do removed posts sometimes not get listed in the modlog?
1·1 day agoThere was a post fairly recently that I replied to even though the poster was banned. Pretty sure they were effectively peddling soft-porn. In any case, there was no mod action against me, but the whole post did go away later. So it probably has nothing to do with you if there is nothing in the modlog tied to your id.
Are you just saying that or do you have something to back up the claim? Is it just and proper for you to decide this?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What is the purpose of being poisonous and is not being poisonous a relative weakness?
02·4 days agoIf poisonous mushrooms are poisonous because it is advantageous for the survival of the specific species, are non poisonous mushroom relatively speaking weaker, less well equipped for the furthering of their species?
It depends on many factors/variables. For instance, if they spread by being eaten and then shit out in a different area then being poisonous could work against them. If they don’t have something that preys on them by eating them, then producing poison can make them do work that would be better spent in some other fashion.
I suppose that the ability to survive and further a species is multifaceted and that being poisonous or the lack thereof is just one of many parameters?

01·5 days agoProductivity isn’t where most businesses are going to strike pay dirt. They’re going to get their value in processing information and in prototyping ideas/products/solutions before actually physically making them.
So the article may be absolutely true and completely missing the point.

I wish this would happen far, far more often than it does. I would make games far more interesting to replay. It would also apply some level nominal amount of meaning to acquire ‘item’ instead of it just being a factor of ‘x’ amount of time of grinding.
