I agree there are problems that could be fixed and need more publicity but they are far from evil.

Sure it would be nice if measures were put in place to stop underage gambling but basically everything with not guranteed rewards and rng is underage gambling. Claw machines. Coin operated ball dispensers. Pokemon cards. Literal gambling kids can do irl. Lootboxes in other games. Mojang running literal real money casinos in minecraft. As an underage I just sold valve “evil lootboxes” and used it to buy games I could’t have otherwise.

Compared to ubisoft, ea, amazon, basically every big developer the ultra evil crimes against humanity valve is doing are minor. Thanks to valve “mandatory, evil forced upon lootboxes” I’ve been able to buy a few free full priced games just by playing cs and tf2 and not opening any of them. Its not valves fault other companies do it worse and there are very few games with lootboxes that are not yearly rerelease scams. Sure valve takes a big cut out of developers but as a developer it is the cost of doing business. They provide a lot of opportunities and take off a lot of the headache as well. They also single handedly screwed over MS by making linux viable for the regular gamer, popularized vr only for zuck to kill it, have cloud saves, are pioneering less wasteful, less power consuming arm devices for gamers, are advocating for right to repair with all their hardware. They are almost european.

Id like to see what all the buzz about hyperland is one day. When it’s not buggy and comes with a distro.

I went cold turkey to gnome and I use KDE on my laptop. Both configured to use super + type in what I want to open. I quit windows since I got used to it and they stopped providing it. I like both but gnome is way more finished while kde feels a bit janky at times. I really love the customization ability of KDE and I find once I messed up and had to reinstall once, I got over my urges to needlessly rice. I don’t know if it is distro specific but I am pretty upset fedora gnome does not have create new file under right click but you have to use terminal (goes completely against gnome philosophy) or to go edit hidden folders and use terminal to create a template (goes very against gnome philosophy).

Its winter, lizards are in for hell of a rude awakening come spring.

I have kde on my school laptop and gnome at home. I much prefer gnome workflows and unified asthetics but kde is very nice and customizable but easy to break your system with. My only issue with gnome is gnome is sniffing its own farts too much by saying “we dont let you customize or change almost any settings cause were beginner friendly and streamlined. But also we wont give you right click - new file from the box, obviously just use terminal, what are you a beginner?”

Maybe make it a dyson fan since the sphere would only work during the daytime. In polar areas that means half a year without any energy production!

You get out of education what you put into it. You won’t be an artist from the best art school if you do the bare minimum to pass. You can end up as a legend of the industry coming from a noname school.

Im in uni learning to code right now but since I’m a boomer i only spin up oligarch bots every once in a while to check for an issue that I would have to ask the teacher. It’s far more important for me to understand fundies than it is to get a working program. But that is only because ive gotten good at many other skills and realize that fundies are fundamental for a reason.

Im stuck playing single player tarkov. I want to stop, it has even gotten stale, but I can’t.
