Right but the carbon capture uses more power to capture the co2 than the power plant uses to produce it. So if you replaced said power plant with renewable energy instead of using three times as much to capture the carbon from the original plant, it would net the same result.

Essentially carbon capture makes no sense until you’re at the point that carbon capture requires less energy to capture carbon than to produce it

You could just replace the power plant with solar/wind and it would be cheaper

I remember reading somewhere that this is the case because we tend to track the passage of time compared to amount of our life it is. So like 10-20 was half your life, 20-30 was a third of your life… etc

My problem with this kinda question is always the fact that I have kids. There is so much I wanted to do in life that was made essentially impossible by having them, and I wish I could go back and push having them off a little further out so I could have achieved a bit more. I guess if I could go back, but be guaranteed that I’d end up with the same children, maybe at a later date, or maybe just accomplishing my life goals earlier, then I’d be able to hit that big red reset button.

I think it’s starting to fall out of vogue. We didn’t have our kids circumcised cause like… why bother? My mom told me and all my brothers are circumcised cause she thought uncircumcised penises looked weird. I do not really care what my kids genitals look like…
