4·4 days agoThey make my tummy hurt :(
I haven’t tried it, but I grew up around hunters, and always heard it tastes like whatever the bear’s been eating, which is unfortunately a large amount of garbage around here.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Can somedy explain to me the issue with the voter ID law they want to pass in the US?English
8·4 days agoYeah, when I was homeless after high school and couch surfing, I needed to get a friend to notarize a statement that I was living with him to get my ID so I could get a job. I got lucky, I don’t know how I would have done it if I was sleeping rough.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Does the average american, when naming a price of any given item, takes into account taxes or disregards it?English
11·1 year agoI’ve seen tags change in front of my eyes,
I don’t understand how that’s better in any way? If customers should know how much an item costs, the cost shouldn’t change during store hours at all.
In the US, we’re using those tags to implement surge pricing. Even if we included tax on the tag, you still don’t know how much it costs until you check out, because these tags let companies change the price at will.

Android@lemmy.world•GrapheneOS makers take a knife to this 'Google-free' phone coming to the US (Updated)English
111·1 year agoYeah, and I have a hard time trusting a “de-google” os that requires I buy a phone directly from google. I want to be free from google entirely, and that includes not buying their hardware.
