i do not often encounter what you might refer to as “rank and file” for most fascist are not organized. but people i encounter that fall for fascist crap often don’t need that much attention and time and are usually somewhat reliefed when you can explain to them that not everything bad is bc of jews or immigrants. they do need to be taken seriously though, and they do not react well to punch-in-the-face direct action.

this type is vastly different from the organized, spread terror and patrolling the neighborhood nazi kind - where i guess violent reaction is more appropriate (even though not a cure)

well, most of them do. they are often fed false info, get preached bullshit (racism, etc) “reasoning” and yeah, they fall for it. but the only way out for them is people taking them (and their thoughts) seriously, taking them by the (proverbial) hand and leading them back
