Tomatoes. I disliked them for a long time but a few years ago I tried them again. I don’t remember how I made that decision - it may have been from forgetting to ask for no tomatoes on a burger but I ended up trying them more and came to like them. I don’t like all tomatoes and not in everything, but I do enjoy them in sandwiches, burgers, and a few other things.
We have both MySQL and PostgreSQL in our production environment. Postgres is way nicer as a user of the DB. I created a document months ago outlining a dozen different things that Postgres does that MySQL either doesn’t do or does worse. I can’t speak to managing the DB as I don’t have experience with that.
I’m skeptical that anything legal will work for very long because they will quickly work to make said legal action illegal.

The company I work at is considering moving some/all of the “not business differentiating” work (aka boring or terrible yet still critical work) to teams in India. I agree with roughly colocating teams (by time zone. Working 12 hours apart from half your team isn’t practical). I disagree with the Indian teams taking all the bad/boring work.

I have been running Linux full time on my gaming PC for a number of months now. I have found only a few instances where a game hasn’t worked. I know that certain games won’t work because of their invasive or Windows specific DRM, but for me personally I don’t want to play those games anyway. I sort of agree in that parents should teach in addition to schools. However, this feels like entitlement showing because it makes a bunch of assumptions about parents (that others have already commented on), but just even having parents. There are a lot of people who only have one parent, or no parents for various reasons. What about kids who lost one of their parents to cancer and their remaining parent doesn’t have the capacity to teach the subjects you mentioned? Schools provide an opportunity for common education for everyone.
