to be fair that was in the prequels, which sucked ass
That was the day for peaceful resistance.
twice the orange shit was impeached, and the republicans did not remove him from office.
then the orange shit was found guitly of 34 felonies and was let off the hook. technically convicted but no punishment.
the systems, checks and balances that should have prevented this situation were tried, but congress / senate did not hold him accountable and punish him. they figured they would end up with more power and money if they let him do what he wanted and so are letting him.
that’s basically it. unless there’s some sort of miracle (and i really doubt there will be) democracy is over in the united states. you just watched the grand old experiment fail.

Tom Knight and the Lisp Machine
A novice was trying to fix a broken Lisp machine by turning the power off and on.
Knight, seeing what the student was doing, spoke sternly: “You cannot fix a machine by just power-cycling it with no understanding of what is going wrong.”
Knight turned the machine off and on.
The machine worked.

Give it to the dev, and explain the situation. Let them know it seems too big/complex of a PR, but you’re willing to make additional changes, or break up PR to make it more palatable for merging. It’s in the dev’s hands after that.
I don’t think you should release your own fork without at least trying to work with the original project.
Make sure all your commits have detailed commit messages so that the dev can follow what you were doing (upgrading deps, refactor because xyz, etc.) Don’t just record what was changed, explain why it was changed.
anyway that’s what I would do.
mount the camera upside down. Then the camera will tilt down instead of up. A simple vertical flip in any video editing app will fix the orientation, if the camera can’t recognize the altered orientation.

Everyone dies two deaths, once when they die and again the last time another person thinks of them.
I’d assume there is a heating element under there, probably tied into the streetlight.
