There was a server I poked around in once that required members to provide phone number just to join. Seems very unethical considering all the bad things that can happen from identity theft or stalking… it’s not like mods are employees for Discord. They’re just random mofos. Why would I trust a stranger on the Internet of all places?

Most pages weren’t heavy js bloat. Lots more adware, at least in an obvious way. Google search wasn’t faster than other search engines. Websites (even for well known companies) would actually have downtime for maintenance and there wasn’t such a focus on having six 9s worth of availability. Could also probably hack a lot of what was out there back in the day. I kind of miss it but I really don’t. Nostalgia factor is only just that… very fleeting. Only thing I miss the most is used to being able to watch porn on my 3DS. The sites I used were still not using the weird players they use now and so mostly everything I could play. It would take a hot min to load but would come through eventually. Oh well.

It actually takes effort for me to get out of my car. Like I’m having to pull myself out.

I pretty much 💯 agree with OP. If there was some absolute method to completely bar anyone from making/using all type of guns, I would make it my life’s mission to see it through. The “gun”, however it is you wish to consider it, was conceived and engineered to kill. To not repeat everything that’s been said… all I’ll add is, humans like to play god so much that they’ll justify lots of unethical and immoral things… war, hunting… all in the name of the “greater good”. Right… 🙄

Whenever I see how they keep getting brought up, I’m always reminded of that Dilbert ep about how people just fall for blue logos that are easy on the eyes. They don’t even have to know what it is… just the fact that the stupid logo is blue is enough. lol

But aren’t I supposed to be ready to do that stuff? Like shouldn’t I be “working on myself” so that I can ask girls out? Don’t people “like” confident people? Feels like there’s context missing here.
