Doesn’t this mean that the system is never up to date? If so, please don’t.

This is precisely what the “much privacy, muh data” crowd was warning us us against. I try to avoid saying I’m queer online, because there’s a very real chance my government turns fascist and asks google/facebook/whatever for a list, and they haven’t given me a reason to think they wouldn’t give that list without thinking about it twice.
Sorry, only spyware laden with ads is available currently at that price.
I mean, not necessarily your fault but at least you know someone could care to fix it, and you didn’t spend $100 for the privilege.
https://youtu.be/Erp8IAUouus explains it pretty well
Yep. Servers save federation keys per domain name. Not that they were really federated with most big instances anymore anyway.
Not that bad tbh I believed it for a sec
When I was 11, an entire class of students and the biology professor were adamant that snakes do not have skeletons. I knew for a fact this was false because I had seen one at the museum.
Not on Google. They work on kagi and I assume they do on DDG/searx etc
It’s not that amazing. To be a registrar, you have to pay $10k for the privilege, then pay for multiple audits that you must pass (if you fail them you do not get reimbursed), and then you get to profit like $2 per domain per year, and you have to maintain high availability server farms, pay for the electricity, pay for the sysadmins, pay for the audits every year etc
There’s a reason Google stopped doing it after they got their .google tld
My current daily driver is a 13€ blue switches thing for AliExpress with 20€ DSA keycaps also from AliExpress. Both are fine.
Doctorow has never been a practical thinker. That’s just not what he does.
Yes but you have to lobotomize the frogs first.
Either Seagate is doing it or all the retailers get them from the same source (which may not be Seagate) that is doing it or is contaminated by fulfillment pooling
Pretty much all monitoring solutions on the market track cert expiration nowadays. I get an alert when any of my certs have <5 days left
The interactive betting minigame was also a bit much
It’s quite lucid. The new thing uses a fraction of compute compared to the old thing for the same results, so Nvidia cards for example are going to be in way less demand. That being said Nvidia stock was way too high surfing on the AI hype for the last like 2 years, and despite it plunging it’s not even back to normal.
That can’t possibly be legal in germany
Me too. My final reason to not go back to windows was that I realized I didn’t actually really care for the games I played with restrictive anti cheat and was only playing them because they were popular.
Now I just play games that I consciously acknowledge I’m enjoying playing, and that has been great for mental health as well.
Because this is a safe space, not connected to my real life identity.
