I would tell them to use syncthing for moving their files around, but apple ecosystem is apparently too locked down for good software.

Officially they killed less than 800, realistically a good fraction of those were killed by Israeli fire under the hannibal directive. In regards to the raping, we already know that didnt happen on a systematic scale.
EDIT: Actually turns out there might not have been any rape at all https://tribune.com.pk/story/2520789/israeli-prosecutor-confirms-no-rape-allegations-from-october-7-attacks
I took the liberty to AI upscale it
Places are not governments, what is so hard to understand about that?
The US has always been an imperialist nation so this really is just a fitting crown that will mark the end of its long reign.
The LLM hype in a nutshell
Yeah i was thinking the same thing, but maybe the wifi router is far away so they needed to increase their range?
Maybe you have to enable something for the video calls in the “Labs” section of the settings but i dont think so. Its just an embedded version of the instance hosted by element.io so it should be functionally the same if you try that one in the browser.
This is how i have it set up
EasyEffects works well for me on debian but on a different distro with different audio setup it might not be such a smooth experience. 🤷
Thats what i meant tho. China has been on top of their game before trump already. Now that the US stopped all their USAID stuff and other funding, china has no competition at all.
The US really fucked its soft power plans with trump. When trump is eventually gone (peaceful or not) and the world takes a look around it will be interesting to see how much can happen without the US being involved.
Dingus, they are saying it hasnt reached the tipping point yet. There will be a crash but the system has a lot of inertia that needs to grind to a slow screaching halt first before we start seeing the really big effects.
Are you visually impaired if you dont mind me asking? Or using TTS for some other reason? Wondering how accessible lemmy is for blind folks and what apps you would be using.
Did i hear BEANS???
there’s no evidence Discord themselves have ever sold any data
Even if that were true, thats not how things work in the real world. If you cant mathematically prove that you dont have access to the data, then you arent trustworthy.
Calls recently got encryption
Says who? Discord themselves? Did the publish the code?
You make it sound like microsoft doesnt constantly brick peoples production setups and fucks up their numbers and stuff. I get where you are coming from but msoffice is far from a painless experience. The switch would be painful once, gotta pull that band aid off.
How else do you think they maintain a chat history
e2ee is not so hard that the biggest player in the game couldnt pull it off my guy. they just want that sweet sweet data.
Im following matrix dev work very closely so im wondering if you have been trying the old call system (jitsi or 1:1 calls) or the new one (element call). the new one should work well for screensharing video but ofcourse you do have some level of compression artifacts. the element-desktop client should have it enabled by default since a few version ago. You can quickly test it out here without an account too https://call.element.io/
For noise removal it just uses the standard webrtc noise filtering stack afaik which does suck, but i have it disabled and do that kind of audio filtering systemwide on my linux machine with easyeffects.
Per their privacy policy they collect
Content you create. This includes any content that you upload to the service. For example, you may write messages or posts (including drafts), send voice messages, create custom emojis, or post other content that you create with features that we develop. You may also upload and share files through the services.
Thats what they collect(so not the calls apparently my bad). In regards to how they use it, they mention advertisement stuff and the usual vague language of “improve our services” and “personalization”. The AI stuff is supposedly opt in, but they collect the data and they are subject to US subpoenas so all bets are off anyways.
I also wouldnt trust any promises by Trump in the slightest. Wait for actual facts, not empty promises.
