Weirdly, I love them. They’re absolutely shallow main story wise but they do exploring and looting right which is the point of open world (for me!). The Witcher 3 or Red Dead Redemption 2 for example are great games, but I didn’t enjoy them nearly as much as the arguably bad Fallout 3.
It’s a cool world and all but it feels more like a movie that’s too long than a video game. Not a lot of meaningful interaction with the world apart from shooting things.

From context, I usually know the year. Probably even the month. So I’ll use DD.MM.YYYY. If someone asks me when we’re going to meet I won’t say “twenty-twentyfive”, June, twentieth. And I’m guessing you don’t do that either.

If you have a male sounding voice and you are open and friendly and communicate well, gaming voice chats can be a good experience, depending on the game. Mostly they aren’t, though.
I work in IT (almost exclusively Windows) and have been using Linux on my private machines for 8 years now. I barely know anything about the command line. I don’t have to be a Linux nerd because it just works with the GUI. (KDE Plasma. Can’t speak for other DEs)

I saw Tool live at a festival in 2019. I had never heard of them before, I’m more of a punk rock guy. Their show absolutely blew me away. Surreal experience. I’ve listened to their albums a lot ever since.
Interestingly I love the controls. They feel very direct to me.
