I suspect there are a lot of people who chased dollars with boot camps. They lack critical thinking skills, and don’t value curiosity and learning, which are pretty important to this field.

If they don’t know where to start and aren’t excited by figuring it out, they aren’t going to have a great time.

The word for potato is my favorite. It’s so fancy and English just calls it a potato.

Thats a great point. I use the Steam Link app with an Xbox controller all the time.

I’ve been looking into that recently. I want to set up my own homelab server (or at least a NAS).

I got sick of all the ads on Google TV/ChromeCast and Fire TV. Not to mention the shitty layouts that get worse and worse every year.

I got an Apple TV box and it has been fantastic. I still see some Apple TV ads when turn it on? But they are much less annoying and contained to one play. Not mixed in with the app I’m trying to open.

I realized this during the 2016 election. People always say they are voting against their own interests, but their only real interest is to spite someone else. Hurting other people is a win, for them.

Ironically, I have so much garlic growing in my yard, I can’t give it away. It’s spreading everywhere and taking over everything.

I’m guessing this garlic is different than mine though.

Birds can make two sounds at once! They harmonize with themselves! I think that’s incredible. Sometimes when you hear a some birds calling to each other, it’s actually just one bird.

God, I hate Hawley. He’s an embarrassment to my state.

Not exercising doesn’t mean you’re obese. I know a guy who could be this person. He’s very skinny. He doesn’t exercise but he doesn’t eat much. And he eats the same food every meal.

I know someone like this. In fact, I read this and I think it could be him. I don’t know for sure. I would reach out, but I honestly don’t know him well.

He’s good friends with my partner. They went to school together. They play games together over Discord regularly. I’ve only met him once.

Happened to me. I’ve had both. Companies that say they’ll never do ask for that and companies that use a texted code to verify you over the phone or even in a helper chat. (I think Apple might even do it but I haven’t used their help in awhile)

So when I got a call from a number that was spoofing a payment app’s info, i didn’t think much of it when they asked for a code. But as soon as I said it, I knew I fucked up since I didn’t initiate the call. They tried to buy $500 gift cards with it but because I realized it so quickly I was able to get it stopped by the real company and my bank.

I genuinely think I’m pretty good at recognizing scams and have a high “tech IQ” but they got me here.

I always tell people this story so they know it really can happen to anyone, no matter how good you might be. I don’t want anyone to be embarrassed about getting help when it happens to them.

Probably not what you had in mind but West Side Story. I didn’t care about musicals or romance. My dad made me watch it. He was a tough guy who liked kung fu movies and football. But he wasn’t afraid to be soft either. He liked musicals as much as he liked Bruce Lee. Glad we watched it together though. I appreciate that stuff now.

Also, in studies, products that aren’t imported tend to raise their prices to match the rest of the industry, rather than leaving it as it was.

Even the cost of goods made in America would get more expensive.

Federating ads sounds like a very quick way to get everyone else to defederate with you.
