Linux isn’t terrible.
There’s hiccups though. Example. Partner recently redid his chrome book. Wiped it, added some bits, added a Linux setup specific to chromebook hardware.
Earbud pairing: inconsistent.
Little things like that which are normally automatic often require some troubleshooting with Linux. Also Linux: there’s always a patch or fix somewhere.
Mostly though, it’s pretty good. And your machines run better because all the home phone bloat and trash is removed.
This particular pic makes me think it’s an ad for a new BBC Jane Austen or other classic period piece production. No, it’s current events.
This is basic. Try to have a good cup of something hot in the morning and do things like plant tomatos.
The pay it forward on this is mind blowing. Unsurprising, given that humans are involved, but even so.
Ethnic group experiences ethnic cleansing. Is forcefully given land by 2 countries steeped in colonialism and ethnic cleansing. Ensuing years is supported by those 2 countries and learns at their knees. Generation of those who experienced and saved those people from ethnic cleansing die. This generation engages ethnic cleansing on a new “other” with new colonialism vibes.
Which isn’t to say Hamas didn’t have assholes. The pattern though.
Good point, saying the quiet part out loud. There will always be That Guy from the low coping skills set who will try to make that argument.
La Casa vs El hospital. What determines the gender of each? Spelling is great, but this piece boggles the mind.
The 1950s boom was built on two things. Subsidizing a middle class instead of corporate (awesome). And the notion that a mediocre white male was more valuable in any job role than a woman or a non-white male.
The 1950s was, in part, built on the backs of women sent home from jobs after the war to have those jobs taken by folks who may or may not have been less qualified, as it was based entirely on gender, and to lesser extent, color.
Woman’s minds were squandered. I encourage you to ask about grandma back in the day. How mean was she? How mentally I’ll was she? How many suicides or addictions occurred? The mean stories abound at this time for a reason. Alternatively there’s the paper thin personality-less woman who avoids anything even remotely confrontational.
Ask your family.
Equality before the law is introduced and a subset of men who don’t have coping skills for not having power over other human beings, lack capacity to stand as an individual, lose their collective shit.
Well. Thank god for that, now nothing is wrong.

Maybe your number is 1 number off from Trump’s.
It was the year of the whistleblower deaths, that’s the answer.
I don’t like Bill Burr generally, but he’s spot on regarding corporate and Luigi. Corporate = modern mafia. There’s less “whacking”, as he calls it, because we’ve made most of their shenanigans legal. But, corporate (neo-Mafia?) will still “whack” a rat.
Yes. I thought we were doing McKinley 2.0: all subsidies to to rich, none to the working class (so no middle class formation), more homeless, more tariffs, more cost.
That and an end to the US Constitution.
CPAPs, no. CPAPs are great for what they are, giving OSA patients some of their health back, the capacity to sleep and feel rested back.
BiPAPs were used during COVID to the point of running out, daily. A device called AirVo was also used. The goal, after the initial months and better understanding of what was being dealt with, was to stay off vents as long as possible. BiPAPs did that for many people. BiPAPs are also a reason families were banned. The high velocity forced air exchange through the lips and mouth makes the wearer feel thirsty, and visitors kept trying to jam straws in there only to have the air blast blow water straight into the lungs.
I expect most people to be grey at baseline, but I’m also not surprised by any of this info. That said, HuffPost isn’t the greatest.
Every once in a while I dive into the manosphere. Usually I’m consuming their latest perspectives regarding global population decline. The algorithm fed me an asmongold/Elon vid the last go.
Apparently, Elon is such an adult, he paid a guy to level a gaming character for him, played the character publicly (I’m still uncertain about the why part for Elon, the other guy makes a living doing it so that makes sense), and Elon was called out for the paid leveling. Then Elon, on X, banned, unbanned, removed check marks, replaced, removed, etc on the game streamer, this asmongold guy, who called him out on the paid leveling. I know. I’m sure someone can explain the incident better.
The point is, this is so childish. How do you have that much money, have 53 years of age, own all the cool toys, and care this much about a game character or what anyone thinks about something so inconsequential? Or act like this, at 53? It’s childish and weird. Donating/testing portable solar panels in Puerto Rico post hurricane is cool, this is, idk what this is. Unhealthy. We’ll leave it at unhealthy.
And that’s who is in charge of our data, our money, and our electronic existences right now.
Hating on a comic after finding myself on that internet tangent reads as expected behavior.
It’s worth reading up on measles. In fact, none of the childhood vaccines are for anything insignificant, they’re all interesting reads. Salk’s story is also worthwhile.
They can’t change the birthrate decline fast enough to make that a go for a good long while. Look at the enlistment numbers, they’re at a low. It would be a draft. And our current society isn’t draft material. Most of us wouldn’t work well as soldiers, and those that would probably wouldn’t comply. In addition, going to prison would be free housing, meals, and medical. The food would be crappy, but even so, it may serve as motivation to NOT comply.
Trump is one of those fantastical idiots who isn’t an idiot. He’s not going to annex Canada. It’s part of the brute force strength show to make the executive branch the only branch. Shock and Awe among all the details we are actually being made aware of. For everything we know, there’s at least 3 things we don’t know. What you need to ask is, why is this a headline?
Interest in Greenland and Yukon is something we’ve all explored over on Reddit. A mad rush to gather and exploit what’s under the ice when it melts. Many of you guys proposed it would be the spark of WW3. (They simply have to ignore the acknowledgement of global warming in this, because it may mess up their political agenda.) If anything, this ends with an annex of part of what’s under that ice.
Remember, Trump has never been interested in the United States or the US Constitution, only in how to be king. This is part of why prior 2016-2020 staff call him a fascist.
What I do think was more of a gaffe that probably had his people gesticulating wildly off camera was letting people know pre 2024 election this would be the last time they’d ever have to vote.
If this is true, then another non-Putin style election is off the table.
Why would anyone do this apart from hating prunes and needing a constipation remedy?
