Don’t do that. Go back to what you were doing WHILE it’s ringing, don’t let your time go to waste

I believe on Android and iOS you can press volume down to silence a ringer without hanging up. I know you can on Samsung at least

Refuse the call for once. Keeping it ringing won’t help you in any way.

And add the number to some kind of “refuse” list for the time you don’t want to receive the calls.

I justo presa the down volumen button. It mutes calls but doesn’t refuse them. I believe this has been the case for all the phones I have ever owned, pre android even.

I did that once. I got my head chewed off Monday. Some bosses think paying you a salary means they own you. Fuck them. Resist and decline.

So no one has the social skills to answer the phone and politely say “no”?

I’m sure people will post saying something about abusive management. So quit the damned job if it’s like that. Last two times I quit it was over mere annoyances, got much better paying jobs each time.

Yeah because the economy is totally great right now and finding work that pays the bills is super easy!

      — things said by people who are out of touch

Even when the economy was good, it took months to find new employment if you have to have any sort of standard (like minimum income above the minimum wage threshold). Most people right now can’t afford to be out of work for months.

Maybe your area was good, maybe your skill set is in demand, maybe you have zero standards or requirements to support your family, whatever it is, your experience is not at all the standard, and it’s much more likely you just have survivor bias. That’s when you say “it was easy for me, it should be easy for everyone!” While everyone else is struggling.

In the same post you’re both telling people to politely answer the phone on their days off and to quit the job over minor annoyances. So which is it? Gaslighting bullshit
