Can anyone give context to what is happening apart from the ridiculous use of force and manpower?
tldr: he had hit a parking lot attendant twice in the head with the stick earlier. The police tried using less lethal methods but failed to accomplish anything with that and so sent the dog. The headline says he had a knife but it’s not mentioned anywhere in the body of the story.

In all likelihood, it is probable he is just a dude having a really fucked up day and somebody decided that the cops needed to be called. Whatever the reason they were called, the response was wildly out of proportion almost certainly and exclusively because of the color of his skin.
