Let me guess, they are releasing a new album or just did.
So is Keanu Reeves! He plays in Dogstar.
Lol “Dogstar”
Forever, in fact. And I’ve never heard a single song.
Johnny Depp too, Hollywood Vampires
Of course I knew that because he is literally me.
Me too, bit I’m also Keanu.
Say what
what
It’s Dead Man’s Bones, and they were inspired by a mutual love of the supernatural and haunting. It’s pretty fucking good.
Also, every time I hear about Gosling he seems like a cooler and cooler guy. Like, I’d invite him to game night.
God I love Dead Man’s Bones. Was really suprised to find our Ryan Gosling made that band with his friend (Zach Shields). Perfect time of the year to listen to it if anyone wants to! Werewolf Heart is my favorite <3
I looked it up and they apparently just released a new song Oct 27th, just a few days ago?? First new song since 2009???
Oh shit! Sending that to the spouse ASAP, she’s the one that introduced me.
I had My Body’s A Zombie For You on a demo mixtape. This was back in like 2010 and I still get it stuck in my head out of the blue. I constantly forget Ryan Gosling is in that band.
I think they meant to actually write a creepy musical but ended up making an album instead.
Love that one!
and their album is a Halloween staple in this house. it’s so good.
Is it anything like Harley Poe?
more like arcade fire meets tom waits
That… is an endorsement
They’re actually kinda cool. I like their album was a bunch of single take songs makes that stuff way better
It was no more than 3 takes per song.
Lose Your Soul is a favorite
IIRC both him and Zach Shields challenged themselves to record everything in 3 takes or less. It feels like such a warm and cozy Halloween/fall album without the weird polished veneer of some bands.
Brb listening rn
I have been listening to the record for a few weeks, I really enjoy it. A great vibe, fun and sticky.
Nice Steinberger
