To be fair, I wouldn’t be surprised if many of the “discord killers” lacked functioning e2e encryption…
they probably don’t but i also doubt they’re doing much with that data, while discord actively has corporate investors.
and they never explain why i would use them over the more established matrix or fluxer (especially that fluxer now has federation for 2027 on their roadmap)
I like stoat, encryption optional and its not owned by Israeli Intelligence as far as we know at this time.

Didn’t know. The protocol is open and there are enough alternative server and client software for it to not be an issue. Sable makes matrix pleasant to use, even.

Yeah if we count one slop standard then we have to count all 7938 new standards a week.
Plus they’re all just mix matches of old standards based on light meters, weight per volumes of x element, and temperature at phase changes of x material. None of them are actually new.
Also, even the AI systems used to establish a given standard donʻt follow it.

And considering how peoples standards for everything (including standards for standards) are dropping, this might actually be happening.
