Now I think you might be a troll.

Is this comment implying that ICE will soon be under control of Democrats, which are being conflated with “the left”, and therefore these weapons will soon be under control of “the left”? Because if so, I disagree for many reasons.

I can confidently say that anyone who would support an armed working class uprising could not care less if it would result in the cancelation of a few shows, and certainly not the shows you mentioned. I think you have created a mental image of some stereotypical “liberal/leftist” that does not actually exist in reality, and certainly does not represent the person whose comment you replied to.

I get it, but can we not resort to name-calling? I don’t think it’s an effective form of persuasion.

Most people are not yet materially desperate enough to risk going to prison and ruining their lives.

What do either of those shows have to do with the comment you’re replying to?
Hmm, yeah, everything you’re saying sounds totally plausible. I guess I just haven’t noticed any of these problems directly affecting my user experience yet, certainly not enough to consider attempting to migrate away from Linux.
Have you tried airvpn? I haven’t yet, but I’ve seen it recommended and it supports port forwarding.
Any reason not to use ivpn or airvpn? ivpn in particular seemed very privacy-focused with a pricing structure similar to mullvad when I looked at their website.
One of the owners made a huge donation to a right-wing, anti-immigration Swedish political party, I believe. Someone feel free to correct me on the details.
I’ve been looking at both ivpn and airvpn as potential replacements.

FWIW, I’m looking at ivpn as a potential replacement for mullvad. Haven’t done thorough research on the company yet but I’m impressed by their website.
Airvpn also seems good, but the people running it are much more anonymous so it feels more difficult (for me) to trust them. But if they’re really privacy activists then it’s understandable.

Do you have more info on how the company is structured? Everything I can find on their site just says it’s “employee-owned”, but I don’t know what that means.
Genuine question, what negative effects are corps having on the Linux ecosystem? I’ve also been daily driving Linux for over a decade and it honestly feels pretty similar now to how it did 10 years ago.
I literally don’t know who you’re talking to anymore. Who is “you lot”? You’re arguing with a group of people you invented in your mind.
