Honestly, joining a community just for the type of content they have or what they filter is useless. Best approach for me is to have access to everything and then filter what you don’t like by yourself.

Hasn’t been updated for a while unfortunately.
I used it until recently thinking the same, but it just became too broken for me. I’m on thunder now and I got it to work exactly the way I used sync and everything seems to actually be working.

I specifically remember looking up tables of who defederates from who and what instances allow NSFW or downvoting because this was an issue among some of the top instances back then.
I ended up making 4 different accounts over 2 months until I landed on a server I’m happy with. That will never be acceptable to any normal user.
Every time someone brings up these issues, people here downplay them like you are doing it right now and nothing is ever done about it.
Same for me. It’s like going back to the dark ages.
They said they found out at around the same time as all the other creators, so breaking it into a video wouldn’t have mattered for anyone. The people they assumed were affected at the time already knew and were dropping the sponsorships.
Recently I don’t feel that way after using Kagi. Sure, there’s still some junk, but somehow I’m finding what I’m looking for a lot easier. That search in forums toggle is magical.
Let’s assume this is real, if you are noisy to the point of bothering others and you happen to be spending your time on the street doing it, being called derogatory names is expected, irrespective of your home ownership status.
It was a similar bullshit experience for me. I created like 4 different accounts at the beginning because one server needed to allow me to join, one didn’t load, one literally disappeared one week after I started on it and so I ended up on the one that I am now. Every time I switched I lost all my settings, filters and blocks.
It’s a very disjointed experience and you can immediately tell there’s no one putting proper focus on user experience.
I would be shocked if the average person encountering a quarter of this shit would not give up immediately and for ever.
No way do people need tech support from you if they know about Linux distros or what a GUI is.
I was in a similar situation as you, with an existing docker solution, looking for something easier to manage. Yunohost had this hype behind it that I couldn’t resist. At first it did seem easier with the official apps, but as soon as I needed anything outside the set boundary the dream collapsed. The final nail for me was not being able to get smb working.
Good thing I had kept my docker setup safe so it was easy to revert to it. It’s more of a pain, but it’s also more versatile and capable so I have no better choice at the moment. Portainer helps a lot.
Went to see it in theaters to check what all the hype was about. I was so confused throughout the movie, why this was the highlight of the year for most people.
For me this was the movie that made me realize just how much I hate a story that is only tropes and fully expected outcomes. The visuals also felt like a natural evolution of everything I’ve seen before, now with the added literal headache of 3d glasses. But I remeber people were saying they’ve become suicidal after watching this, because they can’t live on this fantastical planet. What?
For people that watched it at home and liked it, I have no explanation as to why.
I’m also inclined to believe what the other person was saying, because nowadays like you say people don’t know how to use their devices to their full potential, but then I remember there used to be a time when I was the only one with a smart phone and everyone else was looking at me like I’m a weirdo for being on this phone during a commute for example, something that today is normal.
The nerdy people are still there and know how to use these tools, the general masses are still as clueless as always, they are just late adopters that never learned anything past what the walled gardens feed them. At least that’s my feeling.
Ha, using the sink and scrubbing with the toothbrush.
You were joking, right? Right?
Anything, just anything else but to wash your bum.
There’s been multiple reports showing that these flushable wipes are not actually flushable because they clog the drainage system down the line and do not degrade as normal toilet paper.
The proper less waste solution is a bidet ya filthy shit stained savages.
That adults had it figured out.
That average people actually care about anything but themselves.
That there is justice in the world.
I want the Steve Irwins of the world that would only pursue the money in the benefit of the animals, not of their own pockets to run the zoo. Most productive and valuable people are not the richest but those truelly passionate that would even do it for free if it would’t ruin their lifes.
It took 10 years to meet anyone that used Reddit. I assume it’s gonna take another 10 to meet anyone on this platform.
