No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do cops still ask for registration during traffic stop?
2·15 hours agoVirginia still asks for a registration when you get pulled over. I’ve lived all over the US and been pulled over a lot and not one hasn’t asked for a registration.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are some life lessons you've learned in your own way?
17·15 hours agoThere are three rules that I live by:
-
Never get less than twelve hours sleep
-
Never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city
-
and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.
Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

16·17 hours agoIf every base and branch was doing this then I would start shitting peach pits. This is just one base and one engineer brigade. There are many in the US Army. Then you add in the National Guard, it gets bigger just on the Army side of the house.
Standard training, business as usual.

5·17 hours agoI was going to bring up Jade Helm! It also seems like any Robin Sage event ends up by accident coinciding w/ a major geo-political event and the tin foil hats come out in force.
People need to understand, NOTHING happens fast in the US government unless its reactionary. Large scale training or joint training events take months and months to plan.
Yeah I would not want to be the PAO @ Ft Bragg right now!
Nice!
And this reminds me need to get some glass fermenting weights…

921·18 hours agoThis annual training is done for all Corp of Engineering groups for each base, timing is a bit unfortunate considering. This training is planned out months in advance to coordinate logistics.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Can somedy explain to me the issue with the voter ID law they want to pass in the US?
236·1 day agoAnother question is why this would be necessary. While Republicans have been claiming that non-citizens voting in federal elections is a major problem, there is no actual evidence of that.

And sometimes its cut with… cocaine.

Borked up the 1st try

And God forbid you live in states like Virginia. We start seeing more FA/18, Osprey, etc training runs over the Shenandoah Valley and you swear its “Boys, grab your rifles and your boots. We’re going to war!”
Then you check and its a carrier getting ready to set sail and its easier to do test runs when the parts are on base vs in the Med.
And the NG clogging up RT81 running convoy.
