__vs the Forces of Evil___
(no justification, I’m rage baiting)
Funny way to say Lexx, but ok.
Starring Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Ron Glass, Summer Glau, Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite, Gina Torres, and Sean Maher: Firefly

Approved.
Respect. You little vermin. :)
Gate. Because no one actually knows what stargate is, but it makes both the star wars, and star treck nerds mad
Indeed
Fair-ish, can’t find the big guy being asked trek or wars and going gate meme. I like 'em all, but I’m not out to make people mad (troll). Like the agency in gate, the competence and evolved ethics from trek and the swashbuckling from wars.
Many know, many care. However, I found this.
while looking for the big guy, which I may use inappropriately for a while, thanks.Colonel O’Neill would like to know your location.
O"Neil: “You tell me where you’re at and then I’m going to open your iris!”
Teal’c: raises eyebrow
It’s ‘O’Neill’, with two L’s. There’s another Colonel O’Neil with only one L, and he has no sense of humor at all.
Star… Just kidding everyone knows The Expanse… [Is the best…]
Yup, fight me.
ship Troopers was a pretty good movie, unlike many other movies that start with Star.
I would like to know more
The book is either the best apology of armed forces or the best satire of armed forces. The line is so thin it’s completely in the eyes of the reader, making it a battlefield of interpretations. Personally, I laughed so hard reading it I can’t believe Heinlein was serious while writing it. Same for Citizen of the Galaxy.
About the film, it was a conscious choice to make it a satire and it succeeds beautifully.
I remember before reading the book being warned that it was fascism apologia but it seemed like satire to me.
The movie did the satire bit perfectly. I wish Verhoeven would have another go at a sci-fi
It could be used as proof that fascism is its own satire, honestly. Now we just look at US
I liked the book best, but I am with you
Galactica, Battle
1978 or 2004?
- I loved the original as a kid but the newer version was so much better
The pilot episode is still one of the best episodes of a television series ever.
I say these rankings are not smart. A true sci fi enjoyer doesn’t rank. They see these creations exist simultaneously, manifests of our curiosity, imagination and awe for the incomprehensible vastness and variety of life and the universe. Having said that, Star Wars. Definetly Star Wars.
…furies are awesome which is reason number 487 why Babylon 5…
“Trek: Deep Space Nine”
Best mostly just meaning it’s the one I love the most - Ben Sisko and Kira Nerys are two of my favorite characters in tv, and were a big influence on me as a kid. I started rewatching recently for the first time since it originally aired, and man, it’s still so good.
I’m watching it through for the first time. Actually right as i am typing this. I grew up with TOS, TNG, and Voyager but I never actually saw DS9 until now. I’m enjoying it. Jadzia Dax is my favorite. It’s a great show.
Star -ting to think Dr Who- is the best franchise in the history of scifi
I was trying to find a way of getting Doctor Who in there!
Although to be fair it’s probably more fantasy.
Fox.
“… Trek: DS9, ripped off Babylon 5 which is … "
Star Maker, by Olaf Stapledon
Star, Bright, by Mark Clifton
The Stars My Destination, by Alfred Bester
Stark Raving Dad (Simpsons episode)
???
Wow, I’ve read two of these and may need to check out Mark Clifton.
It’s a short story and you can find it online.
Star Trek: TNG is awesome. But most of the franchise is meh and abused.
Stargate is mostly ok stuff. SG-1 being the goodest part.
The Star Wars franchise is mostly hot garbage. I liked jedi outcast and the original movies though.
So I guess the only thing that fits the sentence is ‘gate’
